(LWA)

MLC ladies meet on the second Tuesday of the month (except July & August) at 10 a.m. in the MLC fellowship hall.

LWA are a helping hand to Mesquite Lutheran Church. They present an annual rummage sale to raise funds for various ministry projects of MLC, serve funeral dinners and other refreshment needs of the church, set up Communion for worship, and various other service projects:

- Coordinate flag watchers for the 1000 Flags over Mesquite
- Assist with the Easter Breakfast
- Hold fund raising events and donate a freewill offering at their meetings to provide financial support for the Childcare Center, the church benevolent fund, and other church projects
- Oversee Sunday fellowship, Advent and Lenten soup suppers
- Provide funds for Thanksgiving baskets for those in need
- Coordinate Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes
- Recruit volunteers for Salvation Army bell ringing
- Coordinate Christmas gift activities for Childcare children
- Assist with the annual Childcare Golf Tournament Fundraiser
